It’s disappointing to lose, however, advertising is like that. It comes down to someones opinion, that being a creative director that seems to think he knows whats really happening when he clearly doesn’t.

regardless, I feel betrayed by the so called “creative community”.

You sure could sell out to the dark side and shill… your short blog entry gets to the point! Indeed, social media goes both ways. Blake’s blog analysis raises interesting points about how much “gee whiz vote for me” ostensibly creative people will be able to hype the product.

The cultural appropriation whiz bang of India ski boy is shallow as shit white man’s burden, but the wood carver is great and some of the other people are really quirky and interesting souls. Most, however, seem to orbit the ad industry… and as noted, don’t necessarily have the chops to get the dreadlocked car buying public to open his or her funky wallet….

Yes, I’m pretty disillusioned about the whole thing. Not that I ever really thought I was going to win, but a lot of people put in a lot of work for this clusterfuck and surely deserved something other than …nothing.

Well….I never would have bought a Nissan…but now I surely won’t….and will tell all of my friends that I know someone that has one and they break down daily and cost a bazillion dollars to fix.
